Welcome!
My name is Alexander (or Alex) Lopez, and I am a multidisciplinary creator passionate about infusing the values of innovation, social justice, and collaboration into all of the work I do. Currently earning a degree from Northwestern University in Theatre, Political Science, and Integrated Marketing Communications, I am committed to utilizing my diverse skill set to increase accessibility, education, and philanthropy in the performing arts.
As a growing artist, I revel in the risk-taking of the unknown, the celebration of failure, the proactivity of questioning, and a depth of trust, all instilled in my practice of theatrical leadership. I am drawn by the subversion of theatrical norms, pushing audiences towards an immersion that questions their beliefs and behaviors long after the curtain drops. The breadth of my passion for the arts stems from my innate commitment towards a joyful, diverse, and safe community that I achieve inside and outside of the rehearsal room.
I look forward to continuing to create art that challenges norms, invites diversity of perspective, and sparks joy.
